TE6100 100MHz Dual Channel DSO Software Installation

A)  Software Setup:

To install the driver and the software, you need to make a CDROM, or have a temporary folder on the hard drive with the following contents 

NOTE:  [c:\TE6100In] is the defeault extraction folder from the WINZIP executable. 
You can change the default to a different folder.  
If you do choose differently, do not use TE6100 as the folder name for this part of the procedures.  
The software install program uses TE6100 folder.
You do need to remember, that reagrdless of which folder you use, you will need to find the TE6100.inf file to configure the drivers for the TE6100 itself:  

 - Place the TE6100In.exe file on your desktop or in a folder of your choice.
 - Double click the TE6100In.exe file to extract all files into the default directory. 

The executable should extract the files to the C drive with the following tree structure:

[TE6100In] --+--  TE6100.inf
	   --+--  wdpnp.sys
	   --+--  windrvr.sys
	   --+--  wndrvr.vxd
     	     |
    	     +--  [SETUP]  --+--  Install.exe
                           --+--  Setup.dat
                           --+--  TE6100.EX_
                           --+--  LANG001.DL_
                           --+--  LANG007.DL_
                           --+--  .
                           --+--  .
                           --+--  .
                           --+--  etcetera

With these files you can install the driver for the TE6100 and the self contained measurement software.


B)  TE6100 Card Installation And Driver Configuration.

At this point, we should point out that the a PXI rack has to be connected to the computer. You should follow the instructions for the installation of the PXI Rack/Chassis.  

Shut down your PC (PXI Rack/Chassis installed and drivers configured before this step).

Carefully insert the TE6100 in the rack. 
1) Power up your PC and Chassis
2) When the computer is powered up again, the Windows "New Hardware is found" window will pop up. The reference will probably be referred to as a "PCI Bridge".  
3) Let Windows find the best driver and specify a search location or folder, which, if default settings are used, is the TE6100In Folder. 
4) Some more dialogs will be shown, keep pressing the [Next >] button until the installation is ready.


C)  TE6100 Stand Alone Software Installation.

1) From the default directory (C:\TE6100In\Setup, double click the install.exe file.
2) Follow the instructions on the screen. and complete the install.
3) Now the measurement software should be installed and the system should be ready to measure with.
